Abstract

The management of educational institutions cannot be separated from the concepts, functions, and principles that serve as guidelines and strategic roadmaps for policymakers so that institutional management can operate effectively. In this context, madrasah principals need to understand these three aspects as benchmarks for planning, implementation, and evaluation, which may subsequently contribute positively to improving the quality of madrasahs. This study employed a library research method using content analysis techniques in order to obtain comprehensive conclusions. The findings indicate that Islamic Education Management is a process of organizing and managing Islamic educational institutions involving both human and non-human resources to achieve the goals of Islamic education effectively and efficiently. This means that Islamic educational institutions require proper management in accordance with the rules and teachings contained in the Qur’an and Hadith. The management process in Islamic education includes planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling within Islamic education management.
